Pitch 01 · Trailhead
You are not behind. You are betweenlevels.
Encouragement for the middle of the climb — for the days the summit is out of sight and the only thing you control is the next step. You do not have to feel ready. You just have to keep going up.
Pitch 02 · The climb
Four levels you pass through again and again.
Ground
Start where you actually are
Nobody begins at the top, and nobody skips the ground floor. The gap between you and where you want to be is not proof that you failed — it is simply the shape of a climb.
Name one thing you can do in the next ten minutes. Do that one.
Middle
Slow is still forward
This is the stretch with no view — the part of every climb that feels like nothing is happening. It is not nothing. The middle is where the going actually gets made, one unremarkable step at a time.
Shrink the goal until it is boring, then do the boring version today.
Weather
Hard days are not verdicts
Weather changes. A bad day, a bad week, even a bad season is something you move through, not something you are. You are allowed to rest on the trail without leaving it.
Lower the bar, keep the promise. A small step still counts as up.
Ridge
Look how far up you already are
The climb is not only ahead of you. Turn around once in a while and notice the ground you have already covered — the things that used to be hard and quietly became easy.
Write down one thing that used to be hard for you. That is proof.
Pitch 03 · Words to carry
Take one of these with you.
Read them slowly. Come back for a different one when the day gets heavy.
You are not late. You are exactly at your level, and levels move.
Small and steady still gets you up the mountain.
Rest is part of the climb, not a step off it.
You have climbed out of harder days than this one.
